More than 200,000 people depend on Houston community health centers for their primary care, women's health, and mental health needs. Clinics like Legacy keep people out of costly emergency rooms by providing high quality, affordable care, regardless of ability to pay.
There is currently movement on community health center funding in Congress – but we need to make sure it sticks. If Congress fails to extend funding for community health centers, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services estimates that thousands of health centers nationwide could shut down. This would be a major blow to the healthcare infrastructure in Houston.
We’re hopeful that with your help, Congress can get this done.
Act now, and tell Congress to fund our care!
